In-display camera battle is once again taking shape between Huawei and Apple. The latter is in the news to launch its 20th Anniversary iPhone model next year with a quad-curved waterfall display, free from cutouts and any other physical buttons.
X tipster @phonefuturist noted that the Apple iPhone 20th Anniversary model will feature a 1.1mm frame with a rounded design to match the quad-curve look.
The benefit of this upgrade is that the entire phone will appear seamlessly aligned. However, the highlight of this leak is the “quad-curved display”, sparking speculations about a major and most-awaited integration in the 2027 iPhone model!
Early news regarding the iPhone 20 suggested that it will sport a quad-curved “waterfall” display that will cover the frame on all sides. Besides, it will go free of cutouts, notches, and physical keys with a uniform slab of screen glass.
And this specific change will probably include an in-display camera setup in the Apple iPhone 20, positioning it as a direct competitor to Huawei flagship phones.

While the Chinese OEM was widely expected to be the first in this race with its upcoming creations, the US tech giant began rapidly progressing towards its ambitions.
Reports mentioned that Apple is currently facing problems in moving the camera sensors beneath the screen. Though it has sufficient time to bring this interesting tech implementation. On the other hand, Huawei has been making headlines to overtake Apple in this battle, but hasn’t come into the news for any such preparations.
Apart from Huawei and Apple, one of the Honor flagship phones is also in the news for featuring an under-display 3D face recognition this year. But how much more time this technology will take to actually debut in the market is still uncertain.
