The new DJI Osmo Pocket 4 marks a significant upgrade in the compact camera category, aiming to eliminate the technical limitations that typically limit image resolution and video quality. DJI seeks to offer solutions that empower users while maintaining the portability and convenience that compact devices offer.

The new camera is equipped with a brand new 1 inch stacked CMOS sensor 37MP resolution, offering the ability to record video in 4K resolution at 240fps. This is particularly useful for content creation, as it allows for the capture of impressive slow-motion scenes.

Its photographic function Osmo Pocket 4 provides capabilities that surpass its predecessors. The SuperPhoto mode takes full advantage of the resolution, producing 37MP files in a 1:1 ratio or 33MP in a 16:9 ratio, while the focal length remains at 20mm with an f/2.0 aperture, ensuring quality even in low light conditions.

In the video department, the camera has doubled the frame rate of the previous model. This means that support for slow-motion in 4K now reaches 240fps, allowing for high smoothness even in fast-paced action scenes. Also supported are 3K and 1080p resolution in vertical format (9:16) at 60fps, ideal for social media platforms.

Η DJI has significantly upgraded the dynamic range, reaching 14 stops, available through the 10-bit D-Log color profileThis development enables users to preserve details in the bright and shadowy parts of the image, facilitating the post-production process.

With the dimensions 144.2 × 44.4 × 33.5 mm and weight only 190.5 gr of, the camera remains extremely portable. The 2.0 inch touch screen touch 1000 nits of brightness, allowing use in direct sunlight with ease. The screen's rotation mechanism also functions as a power switch, making it user-friendly and immediate.

The camera offers new physical buttons for improved control. The dedicated Zoom button allows you to switch between 1x, 2x (lossless) and 4x digital zoom. Right next to it, there is a button for custom settings, facilitating quick access to saved shooting profiles. The redesigned joystick facilitates precise control of the gimbal.

Η three-axis stabilization ensures smooth camera movement without vibration, covering Pan angles from -240° to 63° and Tilt angles from -180° to 98°. This capability guarantees smooth movement, even at rotation speeds of 180°/s, which is crucial for action shots.

Η embedded The 107GB capacity reduces the reliance on microSD cards, allowing you to start downloading immediately. Data transfer speeds reach 800MB/s, making it easy to transfer and store content on computers. In addition, the ability to use microSD cards with capacities up to 1TB remains.

The battery 1545mAh allows video recording for 240 minutes with 1080p resolution. Fast charging to 80% takes just 18 minutes, ideal for professionals who require continuous shooting.

The image processor Osmo Pocket 4 allows the smooth operation of ActiveTrack 7.0The algorithm tracks objects and faces accurately, even in difficult conditions, such as crowded environments. It supports different tracking modes such as Spotlight, Follow and Dynamic Framing, offering fast and accurate focusing.

For recording, the camera uses three built-in microphones with advanced noise cancellation, offering sound quality essential for professional projects.

You can find it DJI Osmo Pocket 4 at the company's official store with starting price €509.

I translate bits and bytes into plain Greek. I love technology that solves problems and I'm always looking for the next "big thing" before it becomes mainstream.
